Epistemonikos SK Ecosystem

The Epistemonikos Ecosystem

SK-Database (SKD)

SK-Database is the data layer at the base of the whole End-to-End ecosystem. Everything else — the enrichment pipeline, the searchable databases, and the synthesis tools — is fed from it.

SK-Database (SKD)

What is SKD

SK-Database (SKD), formerly known as meta-bkd, is the single source of truth for the evidence Epistemonikos works with. It consolidates the references, the taxonomy, and the classifications that power every downstream tool.

By centralizing this data, SKD lets the rest of the ecosystem draw from one consistent, continuously maintained knowledge base instead of many disconnected sources.

References

SKD holds all of the references in the ecosystem: studies, systematic reviews, protocols and other document types collected from a broad range of sources.

Taxonomy

The full Epistemonikos taxonomy lives in SKD. It provides the shared vocabulary and structure used to organize and relate documents across the ecosystem.

Votes and classifications

SKD stores all votes — the classifications applied to references. These classifications are what make the database searchable in meaningful, evidence-aware ways and feed the enrichment that happens further down the pipeline.
